Jiu Jitsu has done so much to help me in my life, specifically Luiz Claudio and Thiago Veiga. In order to give back to our loyal students on behalf of Jiu Jitsu. I would like to offer the following:
Midsouth LCCT Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy is pleased to announce that to give back to our loyal students, we will be offering a $500.00 “Jiu Jitsu Changed My Life” scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded in May of 2021 to one of our Midsouth LCCT students who has shown dedication and passion in the art of Jiu Jitsu. (Details below). If there are no applicants meeting the criteria at our specific location we reserve the right to open up applications to other schools within the LCCT affiliation. If this occurs, we will announce accordingly. Requirements:
- Must be an LCCT Blue Belt or higher.
- Must be a LCCT member in good standing.
- Must have trained at a LCCT facility for at least 1 year continuously.
- Must be attending an accredited college or trade school in the fall of the year applying.
- Must submit an essay by May 31, <current year> explaining how Jiu Jitsu has affected your life and others you have had contact with, along with why we should consider you for the scholarship. (Less than 1000 words please)
- Scholarships will be paid directly to the institution attending on behalf of the recipient.
- Recipients may only be awarded the scholarship 1 time.

** If the scholarship is not awarded due to lack of applicants I will either open it up to other schools in the LCCT affiliation, or not award it for the year in which there were no applicants at my discretion. It will NOT stack to a higher award the next year.
